From July 30 to August 2, come to the 5th Vall Fosca – Pyrenees Walking Festival, an opportunity to discover the landscapes of the Valley through hiking activities with local guides, meals based on local products and other!
In this year’s edition of the Festival, all the guides, organizers and participants will be utterly responsible and respectful. Together, we will make it as easy as possible to follow all the security rules in order to avoid coronavirus infections:
- Respect the two-meter security distance when not wearing a mask.
- Put on the mask when the guide gives some explanation or if the participants need to be closer to each other.
- Frequently wash your hands with water and soap or with some hydroalcoholic solution.

6.30 p.m. Dinner under the stars and night hike
Ascent by Vall Fosca cable car to the entrance of Aigüestortes i Estany de Sant Maurici Natural Park in Estany Gento, sunset trek, guided descent through Pigolo path, picnic dinner with local products by APAT Association and stargazing.

Aimed at both children and adults, this hike will allow you to discover the surroundings of Toveria Plain and its glacial origin as well as to watch its fauna and flora.

Talk by the Mountain Special Actions Group (GRAE) of the Catalonian Squad of Firefighters about their job and the recommendations to follow when hiking in the mountains in order to minimize risks.
SUNDAY, 2nd AUGUST

9.00 a.m. Let’s discover shepherd’s life!
Departure from the village of Capdella up to the Shepherd’s Hut (La cabana del pastor), in Filià. On the way, you will come across some herds of cows, grazing in the mountain. You will see how the rancher gives them salt and talk to him to know more about his daily activities.
